The Foreign Trade database has monthly volume and value information for US imports, exports, and re-exports of fishery or
fishery derived products. Data is aggregated monthly, but is separated by Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) product code port
of entry and partner country. These data are published by the U.S. Census Bureau, the subset of fishery products is extracted
by NMFS/Fishery Statistics.
Description The NOAA Fisheries, Fisheries Statistics Division has automated data summary programs that anyone can use to rapidly and easily

Foreign Trade Database System
purpose:
Provide monthly data on foreign trade in fishery products. The Division provides authoritative advice, coordination and guidance
on matters related to the collection, analysis and dissemination of biological, economic, market and sociological statistics
by NMFS and state agencies. Administer surveys used to estimate recreational landings.
These data are downloaded from the US Census Bureau, Foreign Trade Division each month from http://www.census.gov/trade/downloads/dvdmenu/
A subset of the downloaded data is created based on the fishery derived products from FTS.FTS_PRODUCTS. These data are then
loaded in to the Census Import and Export tables, FTS.FTS_CENSUS_IMPORTS and FTS.FTS_CENSUS_EXPORTS
