Resource Abstract:
This dataset uses the NHDPlus Version 2 Flow Distance Down to Streams raster dataset by Richard Moore to calculate a mean flow distance to NHDPlus Version 2 streams for NHDPlus Version 2 catchments based on NLCD landuse category. The National Flow Distance utilizes modified NHDPlus Version 2 flow direction rasters to compute a national distance to flow raster. For the purposes of this dataset, NHDPlus Version 2 catchments were overlaid to compute a mean distance to flowline for NLCD Landuse categories for each catchment. purpose:
The purpose of this dataset is to utilize the NHDPlus Version 2 Flow Distance Down to Streams raster dataset to calculate distances to select NLCD 2011 Landuse categories and attribute it to the NHDPlus Version 2 stream network to support hydrologic modeling. The dataset was derived by applying the NHDPlus Version 2 Flow Distance Down to Streams raster to NHDPlusV2 catchments and using each NLCD 2011 Landuse category as a mask to calculate the mean distance to stream for each NHDPlus Version 2 catchment by landuse category
