Resource Abstract:
This dataset uses the NHDPlus Version 2 Flow Distance Down to Streams raster dataset by Richard Moore to calculate a mean
flow distance to NHDPlus Version 2 streams for NHDPlus Version 2 catchments based on NLCD landuse category. The National Flow
Distance utilizes modified NHDPlus Version 2 flow direction rasters to compute a national distance to flow raster. For the
purposes of this dataset, NHDPlus Version 2 catchments were overlaid to compute a mean distance to flowline for NLCD Landuse
categories for each catchment. The landuse categories used in the analysis include developed, barren, forest, range, crop,

The purpose of this dataset is to utilize the NHDPlus Version 2 Flow Distance Down to Streams raster dataset to calculate
distances to select NLCD 2011 Landuse categories and attribute it to the NHDPlus Version 2 stream network to support hydrologic
modeling. The dataset was derived by applying the NHDPlus Version 2 Flow Distance Down to Streams raster to NHDPlusV2 catchments
and using each NLCD 2011 Landuse category as a mask to calculate the mean distance to stream for each NHDPlus Version 2 catchment
by landuse category
