Resource Abstract:
NCEI Accession 0170925 contains raw underway meteorological, navigational, optical, physical and time series data logged by the Scientific Computer System (SCS) aboard NOAA Ship Reuben Lasker in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia and North Pacific Ocean from 2017-06-19 to 2017-08-11. Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) personnel aboard the ship submitted these data and associated metadata to NCEI. In addition, NCEI Accession 0170925 contains supplementary cruise-level metadata, which OMAO personnel logged in the Ship Daily Activity Log (SDAL). OMAO and NCEI personnel developed the automated process to archive these data under the auspices of the NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository (NOAA R2R) program.

purpose:
This survey combines Summer CPS, Summer Salmon and Fall Salmon surveys. Measure the abundance and distribution of coastal pelagic species (e.g. sardines, anchovies, Pacific mackerel, jack mackerel, krill). Spring CPS Survey is conducted during the peak spawning period of sardine and collect data on egg production and adult fecundity required for estimate of spawning biomass.
