description: These data depict that which is only Oil & Gas Leases that exist where Federal O&G Mineral Interests occur. These data are derived directly from the BLM Land & Mineral Legacy Rehost (LR2000) tabular database using an ArcGIS extension called Cartoview which interprets the tabular data that is entered into LR2000 by the BLM adjudication staff. This software reads through land descriptions and is able to derive the lease boundaries based on what is entered in LR2000. The adjudication staff determines what parcels are elegible for lease and make them available for Operators to bid on during the bi-annual O&G lease sales.
